Problem: • Manually uninstall the Security Server and the Client/Server Security Agent • Cannot remember the uninstall password for Client/Server Security Agent • Completely uninstall the Security Server and the Client/Server Security Agent The best way to remove from a client is to edit the registry: localmachine\software\TrendMicro\PC-cillinNTCorp\CurrentVersion\misc\allowunistall=1 Then just run the uninstall. For the server: Manually uninstalling both the Security Server and Client/Server Security Agent On the computer that hosts the Security Server, stop the following services: • Trend Micro Security Server Master Service • Trend Micro Client/Server Agent Listener • Trend Micro Client/Server Agent Personal Firewall • Trend Micro Client/Server Agent RealTime Scan 2. Using Task Manager or Sysinternals’ Process Explorer, remove the following files from system memory: • OfcService.exe • DbServer.exe • pccntmon.exe • ofcpfwsvc.exe • ntrtscan.exe 3. Click Start > Programs and then right-click Trend Micro Client Server Messaging Security. 4. Click Delete. 5. Open IIS Manager and delete the OfficeScan folder under Default Web Site. 6. Right-click Default Web Site and click Properties. 7. Click the ISAPI Filters tab and click the ReverseProxy filter. 8. Click Remove > Apply > OK. 9. If the Security Server is still hosting the OfficeScan web site, delete the web site. 10. Open the Registry Editor. 11. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TrendMicro and delete all folders except for the following: • EUQ • ScanMail for Exchange 12. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall and delete the following: • OfficeScanNT • Security Server 13. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and delete OfficeScanNT Monitor. 14. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services and delete the following: • ofcservice • ofcpfwsvc • ntrtscan • TM_CFW • TM Filter • TMListen • VSApiNT • TmPrefilter (Windows 2003 only) 15. On the desktop, right-click My Computer and then click Manage. 16. Click the Device Manager and then right-click it again. 17. Click View > Show hidden devices. 18. Double-click Non-Plug and Play Drivers. 19. Right-click each of these devices and click Uninstall: • Common Firewall Driver • OfficeScan_Master_Setup_service • Trend Micro FILTER • Trend Micro PreFilter (Windows 2003 only) • Trend Micro VSAPI NT • NTRTSCAN (if available) • TMLISTEN (if available) 20. Restart the server. 21. Open the <installed drive>:\Program Files\Trend Micro folder and delete the following folders: • Security Server • Client Server Security Agent 22. Clear the Windows %TEMP% folder. 23. Open a browser and click Tools > Internet Options. 24. Go to the General tab and click Settings > View Objects. 25. Right-click each of these objects and then click Remove: • Encrypt Class • Security Server Management Console
